Mimic' explores the suffocating complexity of maintaining a flawless public identity under intense psychological pressure. The octopus, a master of camouflage and deep- water survival, acts as a visceral manifestation of the chaotic subconscious realities we desperately suppress.
As its tentacles bind the subject in a literal chokehold, they force a sharp geometric fracture down the center of the composition.
